At the Heart of Montreal for the big race Weekend with LOKI

There are weekends that remind you why you do what you do. The 2026 Formula 1 Lenovo Grand Prix du Canada was one of them.
For three days on Île Notre-Dame, surrounded by the roar of the most advanced single-seater machinery in the world, our team was proud to bring the LC015 — our creation built on the legendary Prevost H3-45 chassis — to a curated circle of guests, clients, and connoisseurs who understand that true luxury is not something you merely look at. It is something you step into.

The Canadian Grand Prix is unlike any other race on the Formula 1 calendar. Nestled between the St. Lawrence River and the Canal de l'Aqueduct, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is a place of theatre — narrow walls, chicanes that punish the reckless, and a city skyline that glitters in the background as prototype machines touch 300 km/h. This year's edition, Round 5 of the 2026 World Championship, drew the kind of crowd Montreal always manages to summon: passionate, knowledgeable, and entirely devoted to the spectacle of speed. An estimated 350,000 spectators descended on the island over the course of the weekend — a figure that speaks to the enduring magnetism of this event.
Weather, as Montreal in May often promises, kept the paddock on its toes. Friday and Saturday delivered picture-perfect conditions — cool, bright skies, with temperatures peaking at a pleasant 19°C and the faintest breeze carrying the smell of rubber and ambition across the circuit. The track surface, resurfaced ahead of 2024 and now well-rubbered in, offered drivers a canvas on which fortunes could be made and lost.
Sunday told a different story. By race morning, storm cells were moving over the island with a 90% chance of rain reported in the hours before the start. Pirelli had already advised teams to prepare full wet tyres, and the paddock buzz was electric with the kind of nervous anticipation that only a wet Canadian Grand Prix can generate. When the rain ultimately softened its grip ahead of the 4 PM local start, the relief — and the resulting on-track drama — was palpable.

Pole position belonged to George Russell, who also claimed victory in the Sprint on Saturday, delivering a masterclass in qualifying precision. When the lights went out for the Grand Prix itself, Russell and his Mercedes teammate Kimi Antonelli wasted no time in asserting their dominance, trading the lead in a wheel-to-wheel duel of rare intensity — a battle that left the grandstands breathless.

On Lap 31, the race changed forever. Russell's Mercedes slowed with a sudden gearbox failure, leaving him stranded at the side of the track and ending what had been a commanding performance. Antonelli inherited the lead — and with it, a fourth consecutive victory, extending his championship advantage to 43 points over the rest of the field. Lewis Hamilton, in a Ferrari that has grown more formidable with every round, crossed the line second in a performance that delighted the crowd. Max Verstappen rounded out the podium for Red Bull Racing, securing his first podium of the 2026 season after a difficult opening to the campaign.

It was the kind of afternoon that Formula 1 does better than anyone else — unpredictable, breathtaking, and utterly unforgettable.

LOKI GP Canada 2026

There is something about the energy of a Grand Prix weekend that amplifies everything — the conversations go deeper, the impressions last longer, and the connections made in the paddock tend to endure well beyond the chequered flag.
We are grateful to every guest who stepped aboard the LC015, to our team who brought the experience to life with such care and precision, and to the city of Montréal for once again reminding the world why this race belongs on the calendar for as long as there are engines to ignite.
The next chapter is already in motion.
